Wanchain Cardano-BNB Chain Bridge Exploited for $10 Million
Wanchain's Cardano-to-BNB Chain bridge was exploited, resulting in a loss of approximately $10 million. The attacker drained around 515 million NIGHT tokens from the Cardano-side lock address.
The incident may involve issues related to signature validation or replay flaws. In response, Wanchain suspended the bridge to prevent further losses. Although the bridge was compromised, Midnight’s core network remained unaffected.
Following the exploit, multiple exchanges took action to freeze related funds. The price of NIGHT tokens experienced a sharp decline before showing signs of partial recovery.
