MOKE Token Exploit on BNB Chain Results in Significant Loss

The MOKE token protocol on BNB Chain suffered an exploit due to a smart contract vulnerability. An attacker drained approximately 166 million MOKE, leading to a loss of around $907,700.

The exploit occurred through an unprotected public claim() function in MokeToken.releaseContract(), which lacked eligibility checks for callers. This allowed the attacker to repeatedly access the protocol’s internal reserve pool.

Following the draining of MOKE, the attacker utilized flash loans, Venus leverage, LP removal, and dividend distribution mechanisms to convert the stolen tokens into approximately 1,546 BNB. The total financial impact of this incident is estimated at $907,700.
