Limit Break Suffers $2.8M Loss from Exploit of Payment Processor V2

Limit Break experienced a significant security incident involving its Payment Processor V2. An attacker exploited a bug to steal NFTs and drain WETH, leading to a loss of approximately $2.8 million.

In response to the incident, Yuga Labs' VP of Blockchain, @0xQuit, led a whitehat rescue operation that successfully moved 23,155 NFTs, valued at over $5.7 million, to safety. However, approximately 660 WETH could not be recovered in time, marking a significant loss for Limit Break. Following the exploit, both Magic Eden and Limit Break advised users to revoke V2 and V3 approvals immediately to prevent further unauthorized access.
